EXPERIENCED TECHNOLOGY LEADERSHIP
Business-first technology advice backed by real operational experience.
Technology decisions affect your people, security, costs, operations and ability to serve customers. They deserve more than a technical answer.
OmekaTech helps Brisbane business owners and leadership teams understand their technology environment, reduce material risks and make practical decisions with greater confidence.

Independent technology guidance for growing businesses with 5 – 150 staff.
WHY OMEKATECH
Technology advice should make business decisions clearer.
Growing businesses often rely heavily on technology without having experienced technology leadership inside the management team.
Individual providers may manage software, internet services, devices or support, but leadership can still be left without a complete view of risk, priorities, costs and future requirements.
OmekaTech exists to close that gap by connecting technology decisions to business objectives, operational requirements and measurable outcomes.
Understand the business first
Recommendations begin with how the organisation operates, what it needs to protect and what leadership wants to achieve.
Make risk understandable
Technical findings are translated into business impact, practical priorities and clear decisions.
Stay involved through improvement
OmekaTech can move beyond advice to coordinate agreed changes and work with the people responsible for implementation.
The objective is not to introduce more technology. It is to help the business use technology with greater clarity, security and control.

George Economous
Founder and Business Technology Advisor
MEET THE FOUNDER
Advice informed by real operational responsibility.
OmekaTech is led by George Economous, a Brisbane-based technology advisor with more than three decades of experience working with business systems, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and cybersecurity.
George’s experience includes 19 years leading technology within a multi-site organisation. During that time, he was responsible for the technology supporting employees, branches, business systems, communications, security, suppliers and day-to-day operations.
This was not advisory experience viewed from outside the business. It involved making decisions, supporting users, managing providers, responding to incidents, delivering projects and remaining accountable when systems were essential to the organisation’s work.
George founded OmekaTech in 2007 to bring that practical experience to businesses that need informed technology leadership but may not require a full-time internal IT executive.
FOUNDER'S PERSPECTIVE
“My role is to help business leaders understand what matters, why it matters and what should happen next. Technology should support the business - not make leadership feel dependent on technical explanations they cannot verify.”
Clients work directly with an experienced advisor who understands both the technical environment and the business consequences of technology decisions.

THE CONSTANT THROUGH THE JOURNEY
The technology has changed significantly. The responsibility to keep people productive, protect information and support the business has remained constant.
EXPERIENCE ACROSS THE COMPLETE ENVIRONMENT
Technology leadership requires more than expertise in one product.
Business technology decisions are connected. A change to identity, devices, cloud services, infrastructure or a core application can affect security, costs, people and operations elsewhere in the organisation.
Business and technology alignment
Connecting technology priorities, investment and risk to the organisation’s operational requirements and longer-term direction.
Microsoft 365 and cloud services
Experience across identity, email, collaboration, device management, information protection, administration and cloud adoption.
Cybersecurity and risk management
Strengthening identity, email, devices, access, monitoring, policies, incident readiness and practical security governance.
Business Technology Leadership
Seeing the environment as a whole.
Infrastructure and multi-site operations
Managing connectivity, networks, firewalls, devices, communications and technology consistency across distributed business locations.
Business systems and major projects
Experience with enterprise systems, data migration, technology projects, implementation planning, suppliers and organisation-wide change.
Continuity and provider management
Reviewing operational dependencies, recovery arrangements, service responsibilities and the performance of external technology providers.
THE VALUE OF CONNECTED EXPERIENCE
This connected experience allows recommendations to consider the wider business environment rather than treating each system or technical issue in isolation.
HOW OMEKATECH THINKS
Advice built around clarity, accountability and practical outcomes.
01
Business outcomes before products
Recommendations begin with operational requirements, business risk, cost and intended outcomes - not with a predetermined product.
02
Security from the beginning
Security is incorporated into technology decisions and business processes rather than added as an afterthought.
03
Clear communication
Leadership receives explanations focused on impact, priorities and decisions instead of unnecessary technical terminology.
04
Respect for what already works
Existing systems and providers are assessed on their value and suitability. Change is recommended when there is a clear business reason.
05
Direct accountability
Clients have access to an experienced technology advisor who understands the wider environment and remains involved in agreed outcomes.
Good technology advice should leave leadership more informed, more confident and better able to make decisions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions about OmekaTech and how we work
What makes OmekaTech different from a traditional IT support company?
OmekaTech combines practical technology support with business technology advisory, cybersecurity, planning and operational oversight. The focus is not only on resolving individual technical problems but also on improving the wider environment and helping leadership make informed decisions.
Will we work directly with George?
George leads OmekaTech’s advisory approach and remains directly involved in understanding client requirements, establishing priorities and overseeing agreed outcomes. The exact delivery arrangement depends on the engagement and whether specialist providers are required.
Does OmekaTech replace our existing IT provider?
Not necessarily. OmekaTech can work alongside an existing IT provider, internal staff, software vendors and telecommunications providers. We can provide independent advice, specialist security work, project oversight or ongoing coordination while retaining providers that continue to meet the business’s requirements.
What size businesses does OmekaTech work with?
OmekaTech primarily works with growing organisations of approximately 5–150 staff. The engagement is tailored according to the organisation’s locations, systems, risks, internal capabilities and operational complexity.
Does OmekaTech only work with Microsoft technology?
Microsoft 365 is an important area of expertise, but business environments also include devices, networks, internet services, business applications, security platforms, backup systems and specialist providers. The supported environment and responsibilities are confirmed during assessment.
Can OmekaTech provide both advice and implementation?
Yes. An engagement can include independent assessment and advice, a defined improvement project, provider coordination or ongoing technology management. The scope is agreed according to the organisation’s requirements and existing capabilities.
Can OmekaTech guarantee that our business will be secure?
No technology provider can guarantee that an organisation will never experience a security incident or technology failure. OmekaTech helps reduce material risks, improve resilience and establish clearer evidence of technology and security activities.
How do we get started?
You can speak with an advisor about your immediate concerns or begin with an Executive Technology and Security Assessment. The assessment provides an independent view of the current environment, material risks and recommended priorities.
