EXECUTIVE TECHNOLOGY & SECURITY ASSESSMENT
Know where your business stands before deciding what to improve.
Technology risks are difficult to prioritise when leadership receives disconnected advice, unclear technical warnings or competing recommendations from different providers.
The Executive Technology and Security Assessment gives your leadership team an independent view of the current environment, material risks and the practical actions that should be considered next.

IS THIS THE RIGHT STARTING POINT?
Designed for growing businesses that need a clearer view of technology risk.
The assessment is intended for owners, directors and leadership teams who rely on technology but do not have a complete, independent view of the current environment.
Approximately 5–150 staff
The assessment is designed for growing organisations whose technology requirements extend beyond individual device support.
Technology is operationally important
The business depends on email, Microsoft 365, cloud services, business systems, devices, connectivity or remote access to operate effectively.
Leadership needs clearer priorities
Management is concerned about risk, recurring issues, future investment, provider performance or the absence of a practical technology roadmap.
The business is ready to improve
Leadership is willing to consider reasonable recommendations and provide the business information required to understand the current position.
Brisbane or surrounding areas
The no-cost offer is primarily intended for qualified businesses within OmekaTech’s normal service area.
NOT SURE WHETHER YOU FIT?
If the assessment is not the most appropriate starting point, we will explain why and suggest a more suitable next step where possible.
A BUSINESS-FOCUSED REVIEW
A structured view across people, process and technology.
The assessment is tailored to the organisation. The areas reviewed will depend on your environment, current concerns and the information available.
01
Business priorities and critical services
Understand the services, systems, information and operational dependencies that matter most to the business.
02
Microsoft 365, identity and email
Consider user accounts, administrator access, multifactor authentication, email protection, licensing and relevant Microsoft 365 security arrangements.
03
Users, access and responsibilities
Review how access is approved, changed and removed, including onboarding, role changes, offboarding and third-party access.
04
Devices and maintenance
Consider device ownership, operating systems, security controls, updates, replacement planning and the consistency of device management.
05
Business systems and providers
Identify important applications, infrastructure, internet services, suppliers and areas where responsibilities may be unclear.
06
Information protection and sharing
Consider how sensitive business information is stored, shared, accessed and protected across approved systems and devices.
07
Backup, recovery and continuity
Review known backup arrangements, important recovery dependencies, operational workarounds and readiness for technology disruption.
08
Policies and incident readiness
Consider documented responsibilities, staff practices, escalation arrangements and the organisation’s ability to respond to a security incident.
LEADERSHIP FOCUS
The objective is to identify the risks and decisions that deserve leadership attention - not to overwhelm the business with a generic technical checklist.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Executive assessment questions
Why is the $795 assessment available at no cost?
OmekaTech offers the assessment at no cost to qualified businesses because it provides a structured starting point for understanding the organisation and identifying whether further advisory, improvement or management services may be appropriate. There is no obligation to engage OmekaTech after receiving the findings.
What does “qualified business” mean?
The offer is primarily intended for established Brisbane businesses with approximately 5–150 staff that rely on technology, have a genuine technology or security concern and are willing to involve an appropriate owner or decision-maker in the process. Suitability is confirmed during the initial conversation.
How long does the assessment take?
The time required depends on the size and complexity of the organisation, the information available and the issues being reviewed. OmekaTech will explain the expected process and timing after the initial qualification conversation.
Will you need administrator access or our passwords?
The initial assessment does not require you to enter passwords into a website form or send them by email. Some agreed technical reviews may require authorised access to administrative information, but this will be discussed in advance and handled through an appropriate secure process.
Can our current IT provider participate?
Yes. An existing IT provider or relevant internal team member can provide useful information about the environment and current responsibilities. OmekaTech’s role is to provide an independent business-focused view rather than create unnecessary conflict with existing providers.
Is this a penetration test or compliance audit?
No. The Executive Technology and Security Assessment is a business-focused review of the current environment, material risks and recommended priorities. Penetration testing, detailed technical auditing and formal compliance certification require separate scopes and appropriately qualified specialists.
What if we are experiencing an active cyber incident?
Do not rely on the assessment request form for an urgent incident. Contact OmekaTech directly and clearly explain that the matter is urgent. Incident response availability, scope and charges will depend on the circumstances.
Do we have to use OmekaTech to implement the recommendations?
No. You may address the recommendations internally, use existing providers or ask OmekaTech to assist. Any further work is discussed and agreed separately.
